Become a Medical Assistant

Students will be qualified to perform a wide range of administrative and clinical duties, as well as laboratory procedures. The program includes lectures, laboratory training, and externship opportunities at clinical sites to ensure students gain hands-on experience.

Program Details

Train to become the vital connection between patients and providers with real-world training designed to get you ready for a new career in health care. Through this program, you will learn to:

  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and collecting samples for testing
  • Perform administrative tasks in a medical office
  • Using various health information system technologies and medical equipment
  • And acquire the knowledge necessary to pass various certification exams

Clock Hours

900 hours:

  • 372 hours of theory
  • 240 hours of laboratory
  • 288 hours of externship
