Disclosure: Quarterly or Annual rates include all first-time testers taking the exam in each annual period, even first-time testers who did not take the exam immediately following program completion/graduation.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll begin with a series of courses and labs that explore the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology, human development, and the foundations of the nursing practice. As you advance, you tackle more nuanced topics, such as nursing leadership, informatics, and population-specific clinicals. Program Structure

We designed our curriculum to follow California Board of Registered Nursing standards and AACN BSN Essentials, equipping you with the clinical skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in today’s healthcare environment.

To earn your Bachelor of Science in Prelicensure Nursing, you must complete at least 182 credits of:

Career Outlook for Registered Nurses

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for registered nurses will grow 5% through 2034, adding about 189,100 new jobs each year. In addition to strong job demand, RNs in California earn a median annual salary of $120,560, the highest in the U.S. Top-earning nurses can make up to $135,320 depending on their state of employment, level of education, and years of experience.

Admissions to the B.S. Nursing Program

Jump-start your healthcare career by applying to Angeles College. Our admissions pathway is one-of-a-kind, offering plenty of hands-on support and resources from our staff to help you navigate the application process.

Additionally, we run on a quarter-based system. That means you can take advantage of various start dates throughout the academic year and begin your education sooner.

To gain admission into our prelicensure bachelor’s in nursing program, you must:

1. Apply and meet with an advisor

  • Submit a completed Angeles College application.
  • Attend a required meeting with an admissions advisor to discuss your career goals. This is to ensure you are motivated and prepared for the demands of the program, which requires a strong commitment of up to 80 hours a week.

2. Fulfill academic criteria

  • Hold a valid high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Pass the TEAS entrance exam with a minimum overall score of 60% (“Proficient”).

3. Complete financial aid and enrollment steps

  • Complete a financial aid interview and establish a plan for funding your education.
  • Sign the Enrollment Agreement with an admissions advisor.
  • Submit all necessary documentation. (If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must also sign.)

Additional steps:

  • If you have a special circumstance or need accommodations, meet with the relevant Program Director to discuss it.
  • Attend the full, mandatory New Student Orientation. Arriving late or leaving early will result in losing your spot in the program.
  • Review and sign the final Student Agreement to confirm that you understand and agree to all program policies.

Note: You can transfer a maximum of 45 quarter credit units (or 25% of the program) from non-nursing courses. Core nursing courses cannot be transferred.
