The library strives to provide information literacy skills which are essential to healthcare professionals in their development of lifelong learning. An information-literate person has the ability to be a knowledgeable, active participant in the workforce and the community.

Additional Library Information
Angeles University Los Angeles campus provides full-text virtual library services and is empowered by the LIRN Librarian service which provides our institution access to a team of librarians. The LIRN librarians provide all library usage data using various methods for tracking student usage: Library Book Checkout Logs, In-Library Reference Logs, and LIRN Library login reports.
The City of Industry campus has its own on-site library holdings for local patrons to access books and periodicals through the LIRN online library related to the programs offered at this location. In the LIRN Library environment, students and faculty have access to databases vendors such as ProQuest, GALE, PubMed, and more. The City of Industry campus library is a centrally located resource physically and virtually for all students and faculty and is accessible during classroom hours. The City of Industry facility offers group-study space, a reading room and access to current word processing software and the internet. Refer to the Library web-portal for access to LIRN and College Catalog.
Our Computer Lab serves as a student group-study area. The Computer Lab currently features Desktop stations installed with Windows OS and MS Office and current browsers for online access.
*Library hours for Los Angeles are 6:00 AM – Midnight EST Monday-Friday and 10 AM – Midnight EST on Weekends. The City of Industry is Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and as needed based on the program schedule. AU offers Students & Faculty the LIRN library for both LA and CI campuses (Residential and Online eLearning), allowing each student to have access to thousands of online books, articles, and periodical publications, journals, and newspapers. The online library is available 24/7 though internet access, allowing students and faculty access according to their schedule.

Angeles University LIRN Library (Database)
In the LIRN Library environment, students and faculty have access to database vendors such as ProQuest, GALE, and PubMed. The ERIC database is accessible directly from the link or browses to the bottom of the page.
Each vendor has numerous databases that can be searched by subject, like health & medicine, or search individual databases like the Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL) for reference information.
Angeles University researchers can search for reference materials such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, and almanacs as well as for articles from journals, newspapers and magazines across multidisciplinary subjects.

The Angeles University City of Industry Library physical collection is curated to align with the institution’s academic programs.
Borrowing Policy: All books are for Angeles University City of Industry patrons to use (students & faculty). The library maintains an honor system for the collection (Checkout & Return) due to the size of the library community, and students are expected to utilize the library with proper behavior and common courtesy to other students. Library materials are to be shared and respected as learning material. Abuse of library resources by students or faculty may require administrative remedies.
