Our Beginnings

Angeles College Milestones

2004
– John Krause founded Angeles College of Nursing in Los Angeles. 

– We became incorporated in March 2004 to prepare students for in-demand healthcare careers.
2005
– Angeles College received approval to operate from the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE).
2011
– To reflect our expanded academic offerings, we changed our institution’s name from Angeles College of Nursing to Angeles College. 

– The Garden Grove campus opened as a branch of the Los Angeles campus and received approval to operate from the BPPE.
2013
– The Garden Grove campus began operation.
2014
– The Garden Grove campus relocated to the City of Industry in the San Gabriel Valley.

– Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN Bridge) program earned BPPE approval.
2015
– The BPPE granted approval for the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration program

– Angeles College changed ownership from John Krause to Teresa Krause.
2018
– The BPPE approved Angeles College’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
2021
– The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Full Program) received BPPE approval.
2026
– Angeles College becomes Angeles University
